• Downstream of unregulated steam saturation systems
• Downstream of high speed steam generators, because when steam is withdrawn intermittently water can be entrained (for protection of fittings and machines such as steam turbines and steam engines)
• Upstream of steam injection nozzles for humidification in air conditioning systems (corrosion hazard for air ducts)
